WHAT IS THE DRESS CODE?

Black-Tie Optional. Gentlemen are encouraged to wear a tuxedo or dark suit, and ladies may opt for a floor-length gown or elegant cocktail dress. We want you to feel your best and be comfortable for a night of celebrating.

WILL PARKING BE AVAILABLE AT THE VENUE?

Yes — there is limited on-site parking. Nearby options include the Gaillard Garage located across from the venue and metered street parking along Alexander Street; meters accept card or QR code. A small number of private parking spaces may also be available near the venue entrance. For the most convenient arrival, enter 38 Alexander Street, Charleston, South Carolina into your GPS. Please note the venue entrance is accessed from Alexander Street (not East Bay Street).

WHAT TIME SHOULD I ARRIVE?

The ceremony will begin promptly at 5:00 PM. We kindly ask that guests arrive at least 30 minutes early to allow time to park and find their seats.

CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate guests who are specifically named on your invitation. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to celebrating with you!

WILL TRANSPORTATION BE PROVIDED?

While we won’t be providing shuttle service, Charleston’s downtown is very walkable and easy to explore. There are also plenty of Uber and rideshare options available to help you get around comfortably.

CAN I TAKE PHOTOS DURING THE CEREMONY?

Our ceremony will be unplugged. We invite all guests to enjoy a brief opportunity to take photos before the ceremony begins. Once the ceremony starts, we kindly ask that phones and cameras be put away so our photographers can capture the moment and everyone can be fully present with us.

ARE CHILDREN WELCOME?

While we adore your little ones, we have chosen to make our wedding an adults-only celebration. We hope this allows all guests to relax, enjoy themselves, and fully celebrate the day.

IS THE GADSDEN HOUSE HANDICAP ACCESSIBLE?

Yes! Guests can access the courtyard gardens via a ramp from the parking lot, and the first floor of the house is reachable with a chair lift. The lower/first level includes handicap-accessible restrooms. Please note that the second and third floors are not handicap accessible.
